Oddities of Growing Old #1

 I truly don't even know where to begin when it comes to describing the oddities that I am discoverying as the man and I grow older. For one, he has always  attempted to freeze us to death because he likes it cold. The dead of winter and its only 40° outside and he will have all the windows in the house open and the a/c turned on. Especially when T2 is home because - well - the smell of God's herbal remedy causes him to have a breathing attack. Tonight is a very rare occurrence where it is just the two of us and the psycho stalker. What does he do? He sets the heat on 74° Fahrenheit. He had to "knock the chill off the house" when he got home.

Let me just preface this article with this - if you work at the Amazon Fulfillment Center located at 1901 Meadowville Technology Parkway in Chester, Virginia and know who is in charge of scheduling deliveries - drop me a line or better yet, share this article with them. 2nd Delivery Fail at MMR by Amazon I placed an order for 3 items on Amazon on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 to be delivered to my business address on Arboretum Place right off Midlothian Turnpike. The delivery instructions explicitly stated that the office hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. My confirmation email indicating my order had shipped arrived at 2:07 AM and my three items would be delivered between 10 AM and 3 PM. Great. Perfect! I received two phone calls at 5:59 AM and another at 6:00 AM from Megan in Amazon Delivery Support informing me the driver was outside but the business was closed, could I please come accept the package? Hi there friends! Some of you may remember me from "The Mad White Woman" a lifetime ago or, most recently, "Life in a House" where I talked about everything concerning raising a family on one income mixed in with gift guides and home advice and sponsored content. Ima be honest with you. I did that for over 20 years and quite frankly, I got really freaking tired  of chasing people down to pay their invoices for sponsored content, trying to come up with a new authentic article about something, anything at least once a week to keep lifeinahouse.net in the mommy blogger rankings. If I wanted to participate in any of the advertising sites like Google Ads or Amazon Influencers, your blog had to be on Wordpress and you had to have your own domain name. That costs money.
