Welcome to the Zero Peace Chronicles Intro

Hi there friends! Some of you may remember me from "The Mad White Woman" a lifetime ago or, most recently, "Life in a House" where I talked about everything concerning raising a family on one income mixed in with gift guides and home advice and sponsored content.

Ima be honest with you. I did that for over 20 years and quite frankly, I got really freaking tired of chasing people down to pay their invoices for sponsored content, trying to come up with a new authentic article about something, anything at least once a week to keep lifeinahouse.net in the mommy blogger rankings. If I wanted to participate in any of the advertising sites like Google Ads or Amazon Influencers, your blog had to be on Wordpress and you had to have your own domain name. That costs money. It also means having to decide on a blog theme and color schemes and the right fonts to go with each other and quite frankly, I had finally had ENOUGH.

Blogging wasn't fun anymore. It was WORK and it was work that I no longer enjoyed doing. When you stop loving what you get up and do every day - it's time to leave it behind and find something else that makes you happy.

So I did.

So I told my webhosting service - Twenty70 Hosting - to kiss my ass and I allowed my domain registration to lapse. I probably could have sold it for a couple of thousand dollars but who the hell wanted to work a full-time job and then come home and try and research all the different stuff I'd used over the years and pull together statistic spreadsheets and all that crap. No thank you.

So What Are You Doing Blogging Again?

I know, I've asked myself the same thing ... but this is different. I feel as though I'm not the only mother out there going through some of the things that I am going through and - even if nobody reads this but me - at least I have an outlet where I can be my authentic self. I can cuss like a sailor if I want, rant, scream, cry, lay it all out on the line - while still attempting to be the Queen that I aspire to be. It also will serve the purpose of being able to write it all down one time and then just redirect my friends to the post of the day for them to read and comment on should they choose to do so. I mean, who the hell doesn't have a Gmail account nowadays?

So What's Your Life Like Now?

I'm working as a legal assistant at a law firm I love doing workers' compensation defense claims. Still live in our same house we moved into back 5 or 6 years ago I think. My granddaughter, Aubree, still comes to stay with us every weekend. My two sons, Thing 1 and Thing 2, still live with us. T1 is the oldest son at 26 and T2 is the youngest at age 22. Aubree is T2's daughter. Amelia is T1's daughter, but we haven't seen her in years because her momma is one crazy beotch and uses her like a puppet to get what she wants and withholds her from us any time she damn well gets ready to.

See? LOTS and LOTS to write about. So grab a drink and some bon-bons and sit a spell with me. Trust me, I can't make this shit up.

xoxo,
Kimmi
